MAKE IT TO MUNICH
Make It To Munich follows Ethan Walker, a promising teenage footballer from Aberdeenshire who, just months into a USA football scholarship, suffers life-threatening injuries in a road traffic accident. Aided by pioneering Glasgow surgeon Professor Gordon Mackay, Ethan decides to cycle from Hampden to Munich for Scotland’s opening match in Euro 2024 – just nine months after his accident. Entrusted by the national team to deliver the match pennant in time for kick-off, Ethan’s journey becomes an uplifting story of recovery, scientific ingenuity and the questionable wisdom of filming with one hand while the other grasps handlebars for a 1200km cycle.

After premiering at the Glasgow Film Festival Closing Gala, the film has gone on to screen internationally. Most recently, Make It to Munich has received a Celtic Media Award and an RTS Scotland Award in the Sports categories.
